Terrazzu Frenchie Roast is a specialty-grade single-origin coffee from Costa Rica’s renowned Tarrazú region, known for producing bright, flavorful coffees at high elevations. This cup pairs rich notes of milk chocolate and caramel with crisp apple and black cherry for a coffee that is sweet, lively, and distinctly Costa Rican.
Behind the coffee is Coopetarrazú, a cooperative founded in 1960 by 228 small coffee producers who believed they could build something stronger together. Today, the cooperative serves more than 5,000 members, giving small producers a stronger collective voice while supporting economic development throughout San Marcos de Tarrazú and the surrounding Los Santos region.
Many of these producers farm just four hectares or less, making coffee deeply personal to the families and communities behind it. Coopetarrazú oversees the coffee through harvest, sorting, milling, and export, helping maintain consistency and quality from the farm through the final green coffee.
In the cup, expect milk chocolate, caramel, apple, and black cherry, with lively acidity, a medium body, and noticeable sweetness. The chocolate and caramel provide a rich foundation, while the fruit notes add brightness and complexity without overwhelming the cup.
Coffee with a purpose: Bookers Beans donates 5% of net product sales to dog rescue organizations, with priority given to French Bulldog rescues as close to our Southern Utah community as practical.
Terrazzu Frenchie Roast is roasted in small batches after your order is placed, giving you a fresher cup while connecting you to generations of small Costa Rican coffee producers and the cooperative they built together.
